Life in Christ by D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones

Christianity can be categorized into two primary approaches: Mysticism or Evangelicalism. This becomes important in today’s chapter because it affects how we seek to have fellowship with God. One of the greatest takeaways from today’s conversation is to base our faith on intellect and reasoning from God’s Word rather than on our feelings. It all rests on the primacy of the Word of God. We also discuss some of the major criticisms of mysticism and try to answer the question of how to strike a balance between liturgical and charismatic worship.

Next week we will be discussing the reading from chapter 9 of “Life in Christ” by D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones (pages 93-103).
