It was a weekend in sports filled with photo finishes, overtimes and extra innings. The closest race in the history of NASCAR took place Sunday at Kansas Speedway, the Kentucky Derby went three wide at the wire and the Royals lost a heartbreaker in extra innings. If you like hotly contested sports, this weekend had it all.

A couple of the events were huge social gatherings to be seen. Travis Kelce played the southern gentleman at the Derby while Donald Trump heard USA chants at the F1 race in Miami. No word if the former and future prez met with Patrick Mahomes but QB1 was there.

A restaurant owner closes his KCMO location in very public fashion after suffering their 8th break in over two years.

Tony Botello of www.tonyskansascity.com told www.petemundo.com that Cinco de Mayo as we know it was really started in Kansas City and it really is a party holiday that honors nothing. This is good stuff we didn't know.

A Palestinian American CEO of a men's products company is digging out of a deep hole after he expressed his support for Hamas terrorist demonstrators. Politico thinks it breaks news to its liberal readers informing them the demonstrators are paid operatives of leftist billionaires and Tom Brady gets roasted on Netflix and has to stop the pot shots at Pats owner Robert Kraft.
