Erin (filling in for Nancy) and Marc talk to guests Michael Brown, Naida Tushnet, and James Suazo about their reactions to the Charlottesville white supremacy rally, the Long Beach vigil, how white supremacy manifests in Long Beach and the surrounding areas, if the "alt-left" is really a thing, and what the left should do to counteract emboldened racists and fascists.
Michael Brown is a North Long Beach activist who co-founded Black Lives Matter - Long Beach, is on the May Day Steering Committee, and a member of the International Socialist Organization.
Naida Tushnet is a 30-year resident of Long Beach and is currently on the Steering Committee for the Long Beach Area Peace Network, the Long Beach Coalition for Good Jobs and a Healthy Community, and Long Beach Rising!
James Suazo is the Communications Manager for Building Healthy Communities, Long Beach and is a Co-Chair of the Steering Committee for the Democratic-Socialists - Long Beach.
