Jonna and Michelle join us from MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital to discuss their roles as PTs in the acute care setting. They take us through a day in the life, typical patients they treat, and the collaborative care model utilized in this setting.
They educate us on High Intensity Gait Training (HIGT) and how it’s used in this setting to promote incredible improvements with neuroplasticity allowing patients to become independent quicker than ever.
