I met Sean Sullivan at the 2017 Craft Brewers Conference in DC. During our conversation, he described to me a promotion that he is spearheading which I can tell you is the most ingenious and creative of its type that I’ve come across. He has lectured internationally on sustainable surfboards, worked in product design for an outdoors retailer, and co-founded a ‘buy local’ gift card company, which he sold to one of Maine’s biggest banks in 2016. The organization for which he is the executive director focused on two strategic goals: First, Make Maine the #1 destination in the USA for craft beer tourists, And Second, make Maine’s craft beer industry a model industry for Maine’s next economy.
