Throughout her career, Caroline Cecil has captured the essence of artisanal textile craftsmanship and proven herself as an artistic leader in textile design. Proudly delivering an end product that is nothing but unpredictable, her creative vision and unforgettably fresh contributions are a welcomed addition to the world of luxury textiles. Since the 2014 launch of her eponymous line Caroline Cecil Textiles Imprimés, she has demonstrated a passion for pattern, color, and artisanal textile techniques. Caroline’s widespread expertise includes couture textile design for fashion runway collections to conceptualizing mass-market assortments for corporate design brands. Her impressive resume is highlighted by more than a decade in the textile industry designing for international brands including Target, Levi’s, and Angela Adams. Additionally, she was widely respected for her previous role as a Design Director in California’s Silicon Valley – where she guided seasonal design direction, and managed a roster of textile designers – while regularly traveling to China for sourcing and product development. Even as a young girl, Caroline always found herself delving into something creative and had a curious eye for beauty. The countless hours she spent meticulously selecting editorial clippings for her early artist journals led to the discovery of her first loves, collage and fashion history. Over time, her insatiable research amassed an archive of colorful inspirations that ultimately revealed her future career path and still continue to influence her work today. Quickly building a noteworthy list of press, Caroline’s work has been seen in publications such as Interiors, California Home+Design, Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles, California Homes, Rue and Luxe Interiors + Design, to name a few. Most recently, her bold designs were featured on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar. Currently available in showrooms nationwide and in Canada, Caroline Cecil Textiles will launch in Australia in the first quarter of 2017. Caroline Cecil attended Parsons The New School For Design, where she studied Business and Graphic Design; she received her BFA in Textiles from the Maryland Institute College of Art where she studied textile structure, the inherent properties of fiber and its rich history as a medium for both fine and applied arts.
