Have you ever felt like you were losing the bond with your child? Or struggle to navigate their strong will without resorting to traditional methods of discipline. Today, I want to share my personal experiences with my daughter Esme, whose unwavering spirit challenged me to rethink my approach to parenting.

Parenting my daughter has been a challenging journey. Her strong will and refusal to conform led to moments of frustration and doubt. However, I have witnessed a remarkable transformation in my relationship with Esme by adopting connection-based parenting. By shifting my focus to nurturing our bond, I have created an environment of understanding and empathy in which she has thrived.

In this Episode:

  • The challenges of parenting a strong-willed child
  • Transitioning from traditional to connection-based parenting
  • The impact of connection on parent-child relationships
  • How to navigate defiance and maintain empathy
  • The importance of nurturing individuality and autonomy
