Not Offended Ps. 119:165 #RTTBROS #Nightlight Not Offended "Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them." - Psalm 119:165 (KJV) In life, we often face situations that have the potential to offend us. However, being offended is a choice we make based on the stories we tell ourselves about the events that happen to us. The Bible provides us with examples of individuals who chose not to be offended, even in the face of adversity. Consider the life of Joseph in the Old Testament. Despite being sold into slavery by his own brothers and facing numerous challenges, Joseph chose not to be offended. When he was reunited with his brothers years later, he told them, "But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive." (Genesis 50:20, KJV) In contrast, Job, another Old Testament saint, lamented, "Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble." (Job 14:1, KJV) While Job faced immense suffering, he ultimately recognized God's sovereignty and chose not to be offended by his circumstances. As believers, we have the power to choose our response to the events in our lives. When we trust in God's goodness and sovereignty, we can find peace and avoid being easily offended. Key takeaways: Being offended is a choice we make based on our perspective and the stories we tell ourselves. We can choose to trust in God's goodness and sovereignty, even in the face of adversity. Not being easily offended leads to greater peace and the ability to see God's hand at work in our lives. By embracing these truths, we can experience the benefits of not being offended, including increased peace, stronger relationships, and a deeper understanding of God's plan for our lives. https://linktr.ee/rttbros Be sure to Like, Share, Follow and subscribe it helps get the word out. https://linktr.ee/rttbros
