David C. Brock is an historian of technology, and Director of the Center for Software History at the Computer History Museum. He focuses on histories of computing, electronics and instrumentation, as well as on oral history. He's also my (Jamie here) friend and from a town over, who's so unassuming I didn't know what he did for a living for the first five years or so I knew him. He has fascinating thoughts on fame and acclaim in the world where all but a few (Jobs, Ellison, Gates, Zuckerberg, . . . ) who've make huge changes in our world remain anonymous.
