Simon Crosby is the CTO of Swim.ai, a company that enables customers to derive continuous intelligence from their streaming real-time data, as well as the co-founder of Bromium, Inc., which pioneered enterprise virtualization security for cloud and desktop by protecting end users against advanced malware, financed by top-tier investors Andreessen Horowitz, Ignition Capital, Highland Capital Partners, Intel Capital, Meritech Capital and Lightspeed Venture Partners.

Simon co-founded CPlane, serving as the Chairman, CEO and Chief Strategy Officer. He was the co-founder and CTO of XenSource, which was acquired by Citrix Systems, where he then served as the Chief Technology Officer of the Data Center Division and Cloud Division at Citrix Systems Corporation.

Prior to XenSource, he served as a Principal Engineer at Intel, where he led strategic research in distributed computing, platform security, and network-optimization software, as well as a Faculty Member of Cambridge University, where he led research on network performance and control, and multimedia operating systems.

He is the author of 50 peer-reviewed articles and patents on datacenter and networking topics including security, network and server virtualization, resource optimization and performance. He is an active advisor to several startups pioneering the use of AI. He holds a Ph.D in Computer Science from Cambridge University.
