Rafael Cortina interviews the Gestalt Legend Jean-Marie Robine
Jean-Marie Robine is a legend in the world of Gestalt Therapy. He asks important philosophical questions. Does the now have a future? Is contact the source of all experience? What is the impact of conscious and non-conscious intentionality? What does Gestalt therapy teach us about the importance of “contact” and the “unfolding self?” Can you really start learning to play the drums in your 60’s?
Jean-Marie is much more than a renowned international trainer. He is an artisan, writer, lecturer, and scholar. In this Podcast, Jean-Marie discusses his passion for Gestalt therapy, art, writing, home design, and architecture. A consummate learner he picked up the drums in his 60’s and joked about how he was taking lessons with school aged children. And he felt right at home. He is the founder and past director of the Gestalt Therapy Institute (France), co-founder and past president of the European Association for Gestalt Therapy. To top it off, he has published eight books and numerous articles… and he still believes that “Social Change Begins with Two.”
