Have you ever been angry and someone told you to “just calm down”?
Or have you ever experienced anxiety and tried to calm your body with a moment of stillness, but it just seemed to make you feel worse?
Oftentimes, when we’re in our sympathetic nervous system feeling anxious or angry, trying to calm down by taking deep breaths or meditating can be really uncomfortable.
It’s not what our body needs at the moment.
In today’s episode, you’ll learn what your nervous system actually needs to process and release the stress, anxiety, and anger of fight-or-flight.
These body-based exercises will help you close the stress cycle and naturally come back to calmness in an unforced way.
