Richie Pena is a consummate professional in the music industry with a list of credits and accomplishments that span decades. Best known as a drummer/programmer who has played with or worked on projects for a seemingly endless list of the most respected names in the music world. Richie has always been driven to exceed the boundaries of a traditional musician’s career by proactively seeking and securing opportunities to excel in other facets of the industry.

A jet-setter by nature, Richie has traveled all around the world for his music career. Currently lives in the outskirts of Philadelphia, but splits his time for sessions between Nashville, LA and New York. Born and raised in New York, and of Puerto Rican descent, Richie's passionate heritage and growing up in the melting pot of New York City permeate the multitude of styles he performs and loves: Latin, Pop, Jazz, R&B/Funk, Gospel, Classical and Rock.

Like many of today’s drumming giants, Richie started playing drums in his local home church. For many years he developed his skills in this environment known for manufacturing many of the industry’s leading musicians. Richie's career started off as a drummer but has expanded to many different areas in the music business. Writer, Producer, TV/Film composer and arranging live shows for tours. This plus more has kept him busy. Richie's work as a producer, writer, programmer and drummer is associated with the likes of Babyface, Anthony Hamilton, Boyz II Men, Jordan Sparks, CeCe Winanas, Ariana Grande, India Arie, Natalie Grant, Tori Kelly, Toby Mac, Adrea Bocelli, Toni Braxton, Josh Groban , David Foster, Charlie Puth, Seal and countless others. Richie is regarded as one of the industry’s most sought after programmer, session player and touring musician.
