Welcome back to the Injury Law Pod! May is an important month for safety awareness campaigns in our practice area, including Motorcycle and Bicycle Safety Awareness. These campaigns herald the unofficial start of summer as more people take to the roadways on motorcycles and bicycles. Over the last few years, there has been an increase in motorcyclists and cities have become more bicycle-friendly, leading to even more bicycles on the roadways.

And, as we see more of these types of transportation modes on the roadways alongside cars, trucks, and semis, we have an increased potential for problems, collisions, accidents, injuries, and unfortunately, deaths. It's not just about making others aware but also reminding motorcyclists and bicyclists to exercise safe procedures when they are on the roadways. It is crucial to observe all the traffic laws and wearing a helmet is also essential as it protects your brain, which is crucial to everything you do in life.

If everyone observes traffic laws, drives reasonably, and avoids distractions, we can prevent many incidents between vehicles and motorcycles or bicycles. It takes effort from both sides to create a safer environment on the roadways.
