Michelle Pappe is currently raising funds to send 5 youths with disabilities to an equine therapy program (dougjoneskungfucowboy.com/equine-kungfu-wellness-center.html). Each child will receive 8 sessions at a cost of $1,000. Her goal is to raise $5,000 (5 youths – halfway there!) by May 16th, 2024. Michelle chose this fundraiser because her niece, who teaches youths with disabilities, told her that one of her students, Eli, had been on the waiting list for Equine Therapy for 2 years! Equine Therapy is so valuable because horses are innately intelligent and can understand and be with people without having to talk! This type of therapy instills in these children with a newfound independence, trust in themselves and others, responsibility, confidence and joy! Donations to this non-profit can be made here: Venmo: @Equinekungfu; Zelle: 510-332-6765; Doug Jones, Equine Kung Fu.
