Hello and welcome to another episode of The MarshyCast! I did mention there might not be an episode last week as I was in Munich, Germany for a stag do. I might be dedicated to the podcast, but even that was beyond my control. However, I have a bumper episode for you this week with four amazing guests for your listening pleasure.
First up, Sonny Walker stars in the new Channel 4 drama The Gathering. We spoke about the show and its target audience, why accents don't matter when it comes to storytelling, and what came first for him—acting or parkour.
Next, Echobelly are touring across the UK right now. I spoke to Sonya and Glenn about how their shows differ from the 90s to today, what it's like to play songs that people still love after 30 years, and whether it was tough to be a female-fronted band during Britpop.
It's currently Mental Health Week in the UK, so I spoke to mental health expert Noel McDermott about this year's theme of movement and how making slight changes to the physical side of your day can make a huge impact on your mental health.
Finally, Caitlin Krisko and The Broadcast are touring the UK in September and wrapping up their last UK stop supporting Robert Jon and the Wreck. I asked Caitlin why she loves the UK so much, what it's like sharing a stage with her heroes, and why audiences identify with the band so much.
As always, thank you for taking the time to read this and listen to the podcast. Please like, subscribe, and share. I have some big news to share with you next week, so keep an eye out for that one. Hakuna Matata!
