The University of Kentucky’s recently announced eighth Research Priority Area (or RPA) in Materials Science closely aligns with the largest ever investment in R&D to strengthen American manufacturing, supply chains and national security — the Chips and Science Act of 2022. From medicine and manufacturing to automotive and aerospace applications, materials are vital to the future of Kentucky’s economy. UK is working with industrial partners across our region to solve today’s problems and train the workforce of the future.
