Good morning, Washingtonians! It's time for your favorite segment - the local weather report, and boy do we have an exciting week ahead for you!
Let's dive right into it - tonight, expect mostly clear skies with a low around 41 degrees. The wind will be nice and calm, so it's a perfect night for stargazing or just enjoying a peaceful evening.
Moving on to Tuesday, get ready to soak up some sunshine with a high near 72 degrees. The light and variable wind will switch to a south direction at 5 to 10 miles per hour in the afternoon, so it might be a good idea to bring those shades along.
As we head into Tuesday night, there's a chance of showers after 2 am. The clouds will start rolling in, and the low will be around 55 degrees with a slight breeze coming from the south at 9 to 11 miles per hour. The chance of precipitation is 30%, so keep that umbrella handy.
On Wednesday, there's still a chance of showers, mainly before 2 pm. The sky will be mostly cloudy initially, but will gradually become mostly sunny with a high near 72 degrees. The wind will be coming in from the southwest at 8 to 14 miles per hour, switching to the northwest in the afternoon. Be prepared for gusts as high as 20 miles per hour.
For Wednesday night, expect partly cloudy skies with a low around 42 degrees. The north wind will be blowing at 6 to 9 miles per hour, so it might get a bit chilly.
As we move through the rest of the week, you can look forward to mostly sunny skies on Thursday and Friday with highs near 63 degrees. Friday night will bring mostly cloudy conditions with a low around 47 degrees, followed by a mostly cloudy Saturday with a high near 67 degrees.
And get ready for a sunny Sunday with a high near 81 degrees! Sounds like the perfect day for some outdoor fun. Sunday night will be partly cloudy with a low around 62 degrees.
To wrap it up for you - on Monday, expect mostly sunny skies once again with a high near 87 degrees. It's going to be a scorcher, so make sure to stay hydrated and wear sunscreen if you're heading out.
