Today’s West Coast Cookbook & Speakeasy Podcast for our especially special Daily Special, Smothered Benedict Wednesdays, is now available on the Spreaker Player!

Starting off in the Bistro Cafe, Judge Cannon’s luxury gift scandal grows.
Then, on the rest of the menu, Idaho prosecutors have declined to bring charges against a Coeur d’Alene eighteen year old for using the N word and threatening sexual violence against the University of Utah women’s basketball team earlier this year; the nation’s largest public utility ignored warnings its environmental review does not comply with federal law, and is moving forward with a new Tennessee natural gas plant, anyway; and, two professors are challenging an Indiana law that creates new regulations on faculty tenure at public colleges and universities.
After the break, we move to the Chef’s Table where the governor of the Italian region surrounding the port city of Genoa, was placed under house arrest as part of a corruption investigation; and, the Poland Prime Minister called for a special meeting of the secret services to discuss Russian and Belarusian infiltration, after a Polish judge who had access to sensitive state information defected to Belarus.
All that and more, on West Coast Cookbook & Speakeasy with Chef de Cuisine Justice Putnam.

"To those of us who believe that all of life is sacred every crumb of bread and sip of wine is a Eucharist, a remembrance, a call to awareness of holiness right where we are. I want all of the holiness of the Eucharist to spill out beyond church walls, out of the hands of priests and into the regular streets and sidewalks, into the hands of regular, grubby people like you and me, onto our tables, in our kitchens and dining rooms and backyards.”
