On this episode of the Friends in Beauty podcast I welcome Dr. Nicole Hayre to the Friends in Beauty guest chair! Dr. Hayre is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and received her medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences.

In 2003 Dr. Hayre founded the Cosmetic Dermatology Center which she developed into a successful boutique practice in McLean Virginia. The center has consistently been awarded “Best Dermatology Practice of Northern Virginia” in Virginia Living Magazine. Dr. Hayre has brought her love of science and research to her practice and eventually was inspired to perform a pilot study that proved a clinical link between Oxytocin (“the love hormone”) and the health and beauty of skin. This ground-breaking work caught the attention of the Dermatology field and was featured as the lead article in the peer-reviewed Journal of Drugs in Dermatology in December 2020 and recognized to be one of the top stories in Dermatology of 2021 by Dermatology Times.

With this exciting revelation in mind, Dr. Hayre coined the Oxytocin Social Exchange System which describes how human’s health responds in a positive way to connection and touch with others. She also created the Cutocin skincare line, formulated with a patent-pending botanical which mimics the effects of Oxytocin in the skin.

In this interview Dr. Hayre shares:

-A snapshot of her career in the medical field

-What led to her pilot study that uncovered her discovery of the effects of Oxytocin on the skin

-The science behind her Cutocin skincare line

-The market research she did to solidify her discovery

-How Oxytocin is linked to other facets of our health

-Exciting new tech in dermatology

-And so much more
