Free Agency Grades: Chargers Additions Bring Plenty of Excitement but Come with Concerns As Well

Jim Harbaugh promised that the Chargers would be a tough physical team and the team has brought players in that fit that theme and many at bargain prices. Many of the players are great bounce back candidates that fill specific roles, but if the Chargers add the right talent around them, it won't matter. Dan and David give their free agency grades for the additions so far and reasons for excitement and concern for each. Gus Edwards and Bradley Bozeman received good grades coming in specializing in improving the Chargers run game. New tight end Will Dissly also should improve the ground game as well, while Hayden Hurst gives them a proven receiver but comes with serious injury concerns. Denzel Perryman gives the Chargers and enforcer in the middle but has flaws as a full-time starter, but his experience and leadership help him grade out well. The biggest wild card of the class is new defensive lineman Poona Ford, who fell out of favor with the Bills last year.
