The War between the Ibadans and Ijayes with the help of some people

After watching Black Panther and The Woman King, I realized justice has not been done to our history in Africa, in Nigeria, in Yorubaland. So, I made this episode based on our history.

Perhaps, this is where it started.

This episode is on the War that sort of determined the fate of the Yorubaland and how the Ilorins' well trained army were strategically trying to gain Yorubaland one state at a time.

Ọmọ, I recorded the rest of this season when I was ill and trying to sort out a routine for myself. I need to learn to rest and not feel guilty sha. Any way, the War was fought to the point when only garden eggs were available. Garden egg is called Igba in Yoruba. You are welcome for the lessons.

It gets more intense as the Afonja is betrayed and Ilorin is lost to the Fulanis but is it a bad thing that the king is an Emir and not an Oba?

We never really know the full details of what happened in the past, we learn our History from what we are told. Before we get into the War History, first we get to understand the precolonial Yoruba Empire with a check and balance that I think in theory perhaps worked best amongst others political power checks. The practical aspect may not be as clear cut but in theory the check of power seemed solid
