Commissioned by Etruria Canals Festival Group, The Short Cut grew out of discussions amongst Social Agency group members about their memories of the canals in Stoke-on-Trent. Based on a true story, The Short Cut tells of day in the life of two teenagers in the early 1980s. Funded by Arts Council England, with additional support from Comic Relief Community Fund and Stoke-on-Trent Community Investment Fund.
