The plant breeding behind the green revolution has delivered amazing results, way more than two ears of corn where one would grow before. A sermon for the 8th Sunday after Pentecost at Oxford Baptist Church. Do you feel like you are in the weeds? Do you want to make a difference? Maybe you need to be in the wheat or in the weeds if you truly want to make change in your world.

We may think we know the meaning of the parable of the wheat and the weeds, but there is more there.

How do we handle weeds in the wheat of the church? In this message, Pastor Darren Rogers explains this parable of Jesus and instructs us as to how to respond.

This season just keeps getting better and we've run out of superlatives to use to say how fantastic it is. July 23, 2017 | Weeds in the garden, it is a natural occurrence. We know that from our own gardens, right? Or if you have had the privilege of spending time on a farm, weeds grow. "The kingdom of heaven may be likened to a man who sowed good seed in his field. While everyone was asleep his enemy came and sowed weeds all through the wheat, and then went off."By sainttimothypodcast@yahoo.com (Father Rick Bolte).

The Parable of the Wheat and weeds demonstrates a reason God allows evil - because removing the weeds would cause too much damage. It also provides a reminder that the Kingdom of Heaven comes choice by choice.

In this teaching, Pastor Chris continued his look at what makes us Ancient-Future with a focus on community. When you think about the parable of the wheat and the weeds, you\'ll notice the enemy has some things that he both loves and hates-- and we can learn a lot about community along the way.
