Engineering is the application of scientific knowledge and practical experience to the production of useful objects. Software engineering aspires to apply the same systematic, disciplined and quantitative approach to the production of software. This lecture series offers some of the "highlights"* from the software engineering classes I teach at the School of Computing and Engineering at the University of Missouri--Kansas City. (*My students suggested I put the word 'highlights' in quotes. --Eddie Burris)
