Been Here | Born Here is a podcast and interview blog dedicated to showcasing Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (AANHPIs) in the D.C. area and beyond. Heavily inspired by Brandon Stanton's Humans of New York and Buzzfeed's Another Round with Heben Nigatu and Tracy Clayton, the mission of this project is to talk experiences, ideas, and opinions of the vibrantly diverse individuals of our community and for my own developing understanding about issues that I didn't know existed until only a few years ago. Shoutout to the progress of generations who have been here and by those of us who were born here! (See what I did?)
