Ce sermon de notre frère Abou Ayyoub Soufiane (qu’Allah le préserve) relate la relation entre le jeûne de Achoura et l’évènement qui se déroula entre Moussa et Pharaon. Lorsque le Prophète émigra à Médine, il trouva les Juifs qui jeûnaient le jour d’Achoura. Il leur demanda : « Quel est-ce jour que vous jeûnez ? » Ils répondirent : « C’est un grand jour durant lequel Allah sauva Moussa (Moïse) et son peuple, et noya pharaon et son peuple. Moussa le jeûna alors pour remercier Allah, donc, nous le jeûnons également. ». Le Prophète dit : « Nous sommes plus dignes de nous réclamer de Moussa que vous.». Ainsi, il jeûna ce jour et ordonna de le jeûner.
