The word philanthropy is a derivative of the Greek word Philanthrōpía, meaning love for mankind. It describes the ecosystem of nonprofit workers, organizations, donors, foundations and volunteers who make up the social sector. Field Notes in Philanthropy will host conversations to explore the places where politics, current events and philanthropy intersect and their impact locally and globally.
