葉石濤是出生於臺南的文學作家，其小說超過有 100 篇都是以他的故鄉為背景，感念於他對臺南的熱愛以及對臺灣文學的貢獻，在西元 2012 年 8 月 11 日，於臺南市中西區的孔廟文化園區設立了『葉石濤文學紀念館』，展出葉石濤生前的作品與相關文物。
