13:21In this episode of the Midweek Takeaway, Phil Carroll and Kevin Hornsby are joined by Pieter Krügel, CEO of Mast Energy Developments PLC (LSE: MAST). The company recently announced that its Pyebridge flexible power generation asset achieved a record high average electricity sales price of approximately £160 per MWh in December 2024, significantly outperforming the market average of around £91 per MWh. This performance led to preliminary trading revenue of about £77,000 for the month. Additionally, the commissioning of a refurbished 2.7MW genset has doubled Pyebridge's operational capacity to 5.4MW. During January 2025, intraday electricity prices in Great Britain reached multi-year highs of £1,000/MWh due to extended periods of low wind generation, increasing demand for flexible power plants like Pyebridge. 17:22In this episode of the Midweek Takeaway, the team sits down with Rupert Verco, CEO of Cobra Resources, to discuss the latest developments at the Boland Project in South Australia. Cobra has recently reported significant metallurgical results, demonstrating high recoveries of ionic rare earth elements (REEs) through low-cost, in situ recovery (ISR) methods. Bench-scale testing has shown 68% recoveries for Magnet Rare Earths (MREOs) and 62% for Heavy Rare Earths (HREOs), with rapid recovery rates achieved within 24 hours. These findings highlight the advantages of Boland's permeable sands, which enable high productivity and reduced extraction costs. Following these promising results, Cobra has commenced a resource-focused aircore drilling program to define the scale of the mineralization and support a maiden resource for a scoping study planned for late 2025. The initial 20-hole, 1,000-meter program targets extensions of high-grade mineralization, with early geological observations already intersecting Zone 3 mineralization approximately 1 kilometer south of previous drilling. This effort is part of a funded 12,000-meter program aimed at building confidence in the resource and advancing the project's potential as a low-cost, scalable operation. Join us as Rupert provides an in-depth overview of these exciting developments and shares insights into the future prospects of the Boland Project.
