Popular music genres, like pop and rock, play a significant tole in the formation of youth cultural communities and in the construction of local, regional and national identities. These videos analyze some of these aspects by focusing on local and global scenes and on popular music making in general. These videos were created for the Lecture Course 'Musik nach 45: Rock- und Popmusik' by students of IMWI in the ComputerStudio and they are MultiMedia Productions of the project 'Learning by Teaching' of the IMWI Institut für Musikwissenschaft und Musikinformatik. The course was held by Dr. Giacomo Bottà in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Thomas Troge and Bibiana Castillo.
