Despite making up only 13% of the total U.S. population, missing people of color are over- represented in the total number of missing people in the U.S. In 2018, over 30% of all missing persons were people of color, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. Less than 20% of these cases are covered by the media, according to the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology. This podcast will be focusing on missing people of color. We will not only be discussing new cases, but we will discuss older cases - cold cases from as far back as the 70s.
