While shedding light on the unique Bukharian cultural epicenter in Queens, NY, Chai Podcast hopes to promote inclusivity within the Bukharian community. Growing up in New York as a first generation American born Bukharian Jew can be jarring, and at times it seems impossible to love and cherish our cultural identity without agreeing with the more antiquated and fundamentalist standards that the Bukharian community reflects. Chai intends to make that thought seem less impossible for future generations.
