Rocka Rolla is a serialized version of the anthology series, Disgraceland. It is the story of one musician getting away with murder and/or their criminal activity told over an entire podcast season. Rocka Rolla will contain the same production elements as Disgraceland. Season 1 will explore Phil Spector over ten episodes week after week. The series will dig into his inimitable career as one of music’s most successful and talented producers and his extremely violent behavior. From his volatile relationship with wife, Ronnie Spector to his kidnapping of girlfriends and musical collaborators like the Ramones and John Lennon. The series will culminate with Spector’s murder of actress Lana Clarkson and conviction. Like Disgraceland, Rocka Rolla is also an adult storytelling podcast created, produced and voiced by Jake Brennan. Disgraceland is a single voice, narrative podcast that does not include interviews, field audio or licensed music. It is reliant on deep research and strong writing and musical scoring and sound design.
