Unique is probably the best word to describe the Bangor Worldwide Missionary Convention. As far as is known, there is no other Convention quite like it in the United Kingdom. Founded in 1937 by Mr Herbert J Mateer, the Convention has continued without a break as an annual event ever since. In 2019, in it's 83rd year, the original purpose of the Convention is as valid today as it was when it first began - to promote and support world mission. With meetings held over eight days, it is an event of considerable significance in the missionary life of Northern Ireland. It is interdenominational, international and evangelical. It's basis of doctrine is that of Global Connections, the UK network for mission agencies across the world. Download some of the talks given over the years here.
