"Digital" Dj Vic Originally from Brooklyn, New York I got started Dj ing in the late 80's at the early age of 13 and by the 90's I was old enough to play in some clubs. I was perfecting my craft when this new sound called HOUSE music came around and that was it I was hooked. I moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1993 and got involved in its club scene. Some of my personal favorite DJ's/producers I look at that I aspire to be like are Todd Terry, David Morales, and Louie Vega and former Phoenix giant Markus Schulz. I followed some of these guys when I was coming up and they still continue to inspire! At the end of 2018 I decided to retire form all of this to persue other things now that I have the time an money to do so.. The rat race today of everyone wants to be a DJ is rediculios and any one with money can just buythier way in and become a pop star. Thats not the way it was back in the day. You were a Dj for a reson not becase it was the cool thing to do and it cost a lot of money to even become one. Now any kid with a computer and 2 Dollar controler calls them self a DJ. It takes a lot of time to learn and understand the music let alone how to mix it and where to mix it. There are so many people on face book and You Tube that think they are djs but dotn have a clue... Its not for me any more and am now wokring on customizign Muscle cars.. Its alot more fun and the real talent shows. ITs obvious who knows what they are doing and who doesnt and very clear when you screw up!
