On today's episode, the power is back on in Northland after a hundred thousand people spent much of Thursday without power after a power pylon north of Auckland toppled over. Grid operator Transpower so far haven't explained why the tower fell, but maintenance workers were on site at the time. The nurses union says Te Whatu Ora/Health New Zealand has paused the mid-year intake into the new graduate programme, which provides student nurses with roles in the hospital system. But Te Whatu Ora says there's no pause on recruitment for graduate nurses. And, of course, it's Friday so we talked to our political editors panel and Kerry Anne Walsh.
