What is the essence of healing? Where does responsibility for our healing journey lie?

These are big questions, and I took a deep dive into them with Dr Cathy Holway recently.

I don’t know anyone I’d rather explore this territory with. Cathy is without doubt the most skillful healer I’ve ever met, and working with her many years ago was pivotal for my life, and especially for my storytelling.

Although she works “hands on” and is engaging with the body in a technically proficient way, the core of her work is an inner process within the patient themselves. This is where we found our answers to the questions I started this blog with.

It was hard to stop our conversation, but I wanted to keep this audio program to one hour! After our initial interview I told a story on the themes that we had explored, about a man who develops more symptoms each time he asks another doctor to diagnose him, and only recovers his health by dropping into a place that exists beyond diagnoses and any sense of right or wrong.

We wrap things up with more discussion of what it takes to step into our full presence and access the power of healing within.

Despite my best efforts, this interview and story package runs to just over 70 minutes. But I hope you’ll still want to put it on your phone and listen to it on your next commute, dog walk, or lazy afternoon by the fire! You can download or stream the file below.

Best wishes,
