The whole of the West region juniors have moved across to the West of Scotland League. A group of clubs had already done the same in the East. Meanwhile up in the North the vast majority of clubs at that are happy to stay as they are.
So where does this leave the juniors game in Scotland? For so long the school of hard knocks and a breeding ground for some of the best players to come from the country, is it a level that's now about to become extinct?
In a Down The Divisions special we're joined by a senior member from each of the regions.
From the East, Lochee United general secretary Larry Duncan tells us why he thinks things have been administered so badly across the board.
Former West committee member and Gartcairn chairman Alex McDowall talks from both sides about the recent moves - and gives his reaction after the goalposts were moved.
Acting president in the North, David Cadenhead of Dyce Juniors, tells us why clubs there are in no hurry to feed into the Highland League.
All views expressed are those of the individuals concerned and not necessarily the opinion of Down The Divisions.
If you have any comments on what is said we'd love to hear from you. You can email downthedivisions@gmail.com or contact us through Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. .
