Welcome to Life School Series 2, #BumpsandBabies!

I’m still in the process of recording this series, and my plan was to start releasing episodes once I’d finished recording with all my wonderful guests. However, in light of the current global situation with Coronavirus, recording for now is on hold.

So, I’ve decided to share with you the episodes I’ve recorded so far over the past couple of months (pre-lockdown). I know many of us are currently self-isolating at home with lots of time on our hands, so what better time to listen to your favourite podcasts, or perhaps discover some new ones!

As a first time Mum, pregnancy, birth and babies is a whole new world for me, and I personally want to educate myself as much as I can before my little one arrives. From positive birth stories, information on hypnobirthing, water births, c-sections, baby massage and more, I hope throughout this Series I can shed some light on just some of the areas you may be worried about, or even just intrigued about.

Thank you to all the incredible birth workers and women who have made this Series possible so far and thank you so much for listening.

Welcome to another very special ‘lockdown’ bonus episode of #BumpsandBabies. My guest today is Leanne Hogan, Charge Midwife at Al Zahra Hospital here in Dubai. It was an honor to speak to Leanne not only about her journey to becoming a midwife, but also her personal experience of being a key worker during these unprecedented times.

Just a small disclaimer for any Mums to Be that may be listening, we recorded this episode in lockdown on the 18th May so the changes in the hospital policies due to Coronavirus that Leanne refers to during our conversation, may no longer be relevant when you are listening to this episode. Policies and protocols may vary hospital to hospital as well so for the latest updates at your hospital during this time, please do contact them directly or speak with your doctor.

Be sure to follow us on Instagram @lifeschoolme for behind the scenes footage, videos and further information on some of the topics we discuss on the show.
