Barry first found music when he borrowed his sister's record collection when he was about eight and was hooked. When Caroline started it was a new beginning, and he listened to all the stations, but Caroline was his favourite by far. Later he became a singer in a band, then started doing discos when he was 18. Sir Peter emerges with an inspired and eclectic selection by Michael Flanders and Donald Swann, Dave Brubeck and Cecil Armstrong Gibbs and offers his fascinating insight into a life devoted to public service, his reasons for joining the Conservative Party (it nearly didn't happen!), his take on the Coronavirus epidemic and much, much more!
Drinks and home-made cakes are generously served during the recording by his wife, Lady Virginia Bottomley!
