In this episode, host Sam Harris talks with Harry on the ever shifting roles an Autistic person with a PDA profile might give themselves, the automatic nature of a demand avoidance response and how backing off can sometimes be enough to allow the demand avoidance to reduce, priming virtues rather then demanding help-fullness for the sake of it. The need for a more in-depth understanding of some general ideas around PDA such as 'doesn't respond well to praise' and perhaps different terminology for certain approaches such as 'disguising demands.' Harry discusses Neuro-typicals that 'get-it' and those that don't. Freddie Mercury and splat pig make and appearance and it does get a little sweary at times so apologies for that.
