This week marks the beginning of the Bruce Dickinson era for Iron Maiden, as Ed and Stu discuss Side A of the seminal album, The Number of the Beast (1982)!

The first single from this devilishly great album was Run to the Hills, released February 12, 1982. It debuted at #33 and spent 10 weeks on the UK charts, peaking at #7.

The album itself was released March 22, 1982 and it debuted at the top of the UK charts with a bullet, spending 2 weeks in the top spot. NotB would spend 35 weeks on the UK charts and reach #33 in the US. The album is certified platinum on both sides of the pond.
