Jo Lam is the founder and CEO of Project Beauty, a Dallas based 501c3 nonprofit organization that strives to restore confidence in survivors of domestic violence through teaching self-love and self-empowerment.

As a domestic violence survivor herself, she has learned to turn her pain into power, and is now on mission to empower the women around her to remember their divinity.

Jo believes that every experience is a teacher. Having lived at a shelter herself, Jo uses those experiences to empower survivors by teaching them that their past does not determine their future. Some of the tools that Project Beauty uses to educate women about positive self dialogue include journaling and affirmation writing.
