Episode 44 is a conversation with Pooja Rai who is the co-founder of Anthill Creations. We talk about the benefits of play and the learning that children get from it. She also talks about the use of sustainable materials and recycling which is a priority in all the Anthill creations.
Pooja Rai is an architect and as Alumna of IIT Kharagpur who co-founded Anthill creations. When she was in college and was the kids playing on the ground with whatever resources they had and making the most of it. ( They were playing badminton with slippers!), she decided to do something for them. Using scrap tyres and all the sustainable materials that she could find, she along with her friends created a playscape for these children to enjoy. Thus began her entrepreneurial journey and there was no looking back. Today, she along with her team have created more than 250 playgrounds for underprivileged children across India.
