Valtencir Mendes is a UNESCO Senior Education Programme lead. He coordinates UNESCO’s implementation of the GPE’s Education response to COVID-19 Consortium of Grant Agents: UNESCO, UNICEF and the World Bank, as well as activities under the framework of the UNESCO Division for Policies and Lifelong Learning. He provides consultative support and strategic advice on UNESCO’s engagement with different innovative programmes and stakeholders; supporting countries in their education policy and strategic plan development and partnerships’ building; contributing to other cross-cutting emerging technologies in education projects and publications. Valtencir is European PhD in Project and Systems Engineering from UPC, Barcelona Tech, in collaboration with the University of Glasgow, UK.
