This is Episode 31 of the VulnerABLE Podcast! He grew up being a very sensitive kid, which resulted in building defenses to protect him from his peers. After beginning to shed them he now lives a more present life and is helping others do the same!Being a kid that was a little more sensitive than most, and growing up with hippy parents didn’t prepare him the best for entering school. He was definitely different from most of his peers, which made him an easy target. This would lead to him starting to build defences, which would suppress a lot of his personal growth for many years. At age 11 his mother would suddenly pass away, which obviously came with its own set of difficulties. Just like for most of us high school would present a whole new set of challenges, and continue to build that armour that he was hiding behind. This would lead to a lack of real friends, and he’d bury himself in books. Then when he went on exchange trip to Spain, and was outside of the norm, he ended up bonding with a few of his peers and created friendships he still has today. It wouldn’t be until his 30s that he’d finally realize he needed to start working on the traumas of his past to really find his truth. This would lead to a ton of new experiences, one of which really opened him up while attending an event called Burning Man. He’d also discover the practice of considering your mortality five times a day, which would eventually lead to him founding an app. Now he’s the co-founder of We Croak, an app that sends you five quotes a day reminding you to contemplate death. Hoping that it will bring people to a more present place in their life, when they’re just routinely going from day to day.For more information on Hansa Bergwall you can follow him on social media or visit his company website and podcast.LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/hansa-bergwall-2a053314/Company Website: https://www.wecroak.com/Podcast: https://apple.co/2KFpxw4
