Today is RelatABLE Thursday! If you heard the announcement at the beginning of the episode click below to book your call!https://calendly.com/brianalmeida/discoverablecallThroughout most of my working life I've faced some form of toxicity in the workplace, from unnecessary drama to bullying. What I've learned is to leave work at work and that there are far more important things in life.In most of the jobs I've had there has been some form of toxicity in the workplace. When I worked in retail there were always the groups of people that created a "clique", which lead to drama and gossip. Being in management for most of my time in retail meant that I had to attempt to disarm these type of things, and sometimes they'd affect me personally. In other workplaces I had to deal with forms of bullying from management. At the job I was let go from a few years ago, my boss would literally tease me about my weight. Or when I didn't hit sales targets I was made to feel stupid or incompetent. What I've learned is that work is what you do for a living it's not your life, so we need to leave the drama and toxicity at work. Otherwise we bring it home with us and it affects all parts of our lives, and it's really not worth it. At the end of the day most of our jobs will be a temporary place for us, which is even more reason to not let them affect us.For more information on your host Brian Almeida:LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/brian-almeida/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thebealmeida/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/brian.almeida.731
