Music Biz 101 & More is the only radio show in America that focuses on the business side of the music & entertainment worlds. Hosted by William Paterson University's Dr. Stephen Marcone & Professor David Kirk Philp, the show airs live each Wednesday at 8pm on WPSC-FM, Brave New Radio. In this episode, we speak with Daniel Glass, founder of Glassnote Music. Daniel is one of the top music people in the business - he's signed Mumford and Sons, Jade Bird, and was there going back to the '80s with Huey Lewis & The News, Billy Idol, and so many more. He speaks about the lessons he's learned, why it was right for him to start up Glassnote when he was 48 years old, and the art of signing new talent. We also touch upon his new publishing company and the perception of radio in an artist's career in 2021. This is truly one of our best interviews. Go ahead, be a dummy and not listen. Those who do listen shall inherit the earth. Amen. Special Note: This podcast is dedicated to Wendy Leeds, the late-wife of our friend, Steve. Intro song: "Mr. Lennon" by Gina Royale Exit song: "Lemon Drop" by Gina Royale Enjoy the talk, listener tweets, and see what you can get out of this. Like what you hear?
