Anfang des Jahres nahmen Marillion gemeinsam mit Orchestermusikern, die zu Freunden wurden, ausgewählte Lieder aus ihrem Katalog neu auf. Sowohl im eigenen Racket Club als auch in Peter Gabriels Real World Studios entstanden für “With Friends From The Orchestra“ neun Marillion-Klassiker in neuen Interpretationen mit einer Gesamt-Spielzeit von fast 80 Minuten. Unterstützung erhielt die Band dabei vom Streichquartett “In Praise Of Folly” sowie dem Hornisten Sam Morris und Emma Halnan an der Flöte.
